Yes, finally the bud popped open and the inside is this cotton fluff. I have left it slowly drying out and in a few days it will be ready for picking. Inside the "sea island cotton bud" is small seeds that I will separate and plant like I did for this one to grow.This one is still in a pot but my other four plants I have planted in soil in my back yard, which I have put plastic lacework around to stop my chooks from digging them up. The chooks had a wonderful time whilst I was digging the holes. A worm just didnt have a chance. Nature is just wonderful. I think it may be sometime before I start spinning it, thats if I can,but I guess the first project would be a face washer. I will keep you posted.
