Yellow, Blue, Red, Berettes.

How bright these colours are for winter to brighten up your day.
Handspun wool and dyed just the one overall colour a little different to my multi range. My pattern altered for each berette so I get a different shape.

Scrap Beanies

My two new scrap beanies in a sort of beret style, using my left over remnants of spun wool.

I have taken the front view and back, (double click on photo for more details)
They are a bit wild and woolly looking but very fashonable and lovely and warm to wear.
I am hoping to get a few more done to show off at December market at Bellingen or our group, Coffs Harbour Spinners have their annual Fibre Art Summer Exhibition 2010 at the Coffs Harbour Botanic Gardens Jan 19th - 26th. Please take a note of the dates and write in your diary for a Must Do to see. Garments for Sale at reasonable prices.

Berets for Winter

This beret knitted with a mixture of pre dyed fleece spun chunky and plied with gold metalic yarn . Knitted on size 10mm needles.

I like this beret, spun with white merino and plied back with silver thread then dyed violet & pink shades. I knitted using 7mm needles.

What a cute beret, spun white merino and plied with wool yarn. I dyed it burnt orange and blue which ended up this unusual shade. Dont ask me to do it again.
Thats the fun of dyeing it yourself. I knitted using 7mm needles.
I found these yarns in my stash and they all called out to me to knit berets with them.
I like the look of berets, gives the wearer a bit of pizazz.Posted by Picasa

Very French Berets

I had a lovely day when it was pouring rain outside and what else could I do, but go to my stash of hand spun, dyed merino yarns and knit up berets. Even the white looks great and think how many outfits it would go with. Wear on a coolish day for lots of style or those bitter cold days pop on your coat and beret and be the talk of the town.
Colours Top; L: Red, R: Egg Yolk and Brown. Middle; L:White and R:White. Bottom; L: Green Mixed, R: Purple & Orange Mix.Posted by Picasa

Beret and Cylinder Scarf with knotted ends.

22 micron merino hand spun, hand dyed, hand knitted this lovely set of matching Beret and unusual Cylinder Scarf with Knotted Ends. I knitted it in stocking stitch which makes the wool make a cylinder effect. I just love the colours, so soft and could be worn with many outfits with pale blue jeans, or soft caramel coat. Enlarge the photo and see it as should be seen.
